For Immediate Release

December 30, 2020

The Board of Directors recently held a special meeting to evaluate the current status of the pandemic and our 2021 season. In addition to California’s “Stay At Home Order” being extended indefinitely,we have decided to cancel our 2021 season and adhere to CDC’s current Safety Guidelines regarding large gatherings and holding gatherings with individuals that do not live in your household. The organization and the Staff all agrees that we want to be part of the solution of slowing the spread and not part of the problem of exposing individuals to COVID-19.

There will be future press releases that will provide more details and updates on future workshops and clinic series that can begin in late spring or early summer once we have the clearance to conduct in person rehearsals. If you have paid your registration fee for the auditions/workshops, that will be applied to any future registration fees. The staff is very excited that we can still offer musicians opportunities to prepare for their upcoming 2021-2022 competition season.

This was a very difficult decision to make. However, it is the correct path to take to protect our members, staff, volunteers and parents until this pandemic is under control. Thank you for your understanding and support.
